After 1+ yrs: internal hemorrhage leading to death. Liver cancer identified.

liver cancer senior red male Jindo, born in CA Unusual lump on side of body.
Biopsy diagnosed liver cancer. Dog humanely euthanized.

pancreatic cancer senior white male Jindo, born in CA Diagnosed pancreatic cancer.

bone cancer red female Jindo mix puppy adopted from Los Angeles, CA After 11 mo with new home, owner noticed swelling on rt front ankle. X-ray revealed bone deterioration. A subsequent x-ray 2 weeks later reveal bone to be incredibly soft and even more deterioration. A biopsy diagnosed bone cancer.

Disease confirmed by a vet.
Condition worsen by exposure to UV light (sunlight).
Treatment with tetracyline for dogs with minimal symptoms or with a topical steroid cream for more advanced symptoms and possibly supplementing with vitamin E, B, and fish oil along with avoiding UV light and using a sunscreen if the dog must be outside during peak times is usually very successful.

tumor in the eye red senior female Jindo, born in CA Owner noticed small black mark on the inside corner of the eye. Eye specialist remarked that this has been seen in other Jindos. Tumor was lasered out, but eye still had to be removed due to painful build up of pressure.

corneal dystrophy, or epithelial/stromal dystrophy 6 yr old red female Jindo Vet noticed fat accumulation on the eye.
